Ferry service Stavoren
A crossing with ferry Bep Glasius is the beginning of a pleasant cycling vacation or day out. From the comfortable salon ship you see the most beautiful yachts and classic ships glide by. Or maybe even a flight of cormorants. A day return trip of three, six or nine hours brings you back to the other side. Coffee, a drink, snack or plate service dish, on the Bep Glasius you lack nothing. Bikes can be taken on board and you can charge your electric bike on the way.
Crossing to Urk
The passenger ship the Zuiderzee sails back and forth to Urk. The crossing to the former island departs twice a day and takes ninety minutes. The ferry service can be part of your cycling vacation, but a day trip to Urk is also worthwhile. A variety of drinks, appetizers and snacks are available on board the Zuiderzee. The ship is completely wheelchair accessible, bicycles can be taken along and there is a charging point for electric bicycles.
The Historical Triangle
The journey with the Museum Steam Tram takes you more to another time, when three centuries-old IJsselmeer towns were connected by boat and steam streetcar. From Enkhuizen, museum ship Friesland sails across the IJsselmeer to Medemblik. from there Bello and the other historic steam streetcars of the Museum Steam Tram take you via small stations to Hoorn. A fascinating ride through the West Frisian landscape with many beautiful cheese-cover farmhouses and wide vistas.
