Museumstoomtram Hoorn-Medemblik
The most exciting time travel by steam tram and boat!
The ship “Friesland” sails between Enkhuizen and Medemblik along the beautiful coast of West-Friesland. Between Medemblik and Hoorn you ride the steam tram through the countryside along tulip fields and historic station buildings.
On the museum grounds of Hoorn you will discover the story of the steam tram in the Netherlands. After arriving at the atmospheric tram station, you will visit the exhibition De Tijdlijn, a working signal box and in the workshop the Bello Atelier.
New, fun for kids and interactive
In May 2023, the new SpoorTuin at the Museumstoomtram in Hoorn was opened. In the SpoorTuin, children discover the operation of rails, trains and trams as a means of transport in an educational game. In the middle of a super model railway, goods are transported over the rails between ‘Hoorn’ and ‘Medemblik’. A nice combination before or after a trip with the Museumstoomtram!
