'Kraak de code' children's treasure hunt is perfect for elementary school children and takes you past all kinds of special places in Enkhuizen. The walk takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. The booklet is available at Primera and various hotels in Enkhuizen.

This route is an exploration criss-crossing the historic city center. It takes you past the mighty Drommedaris, stately homes and churches, the proud city hall, the lovely Snouck van Loosenpark and the 'somewhat' crooked old prison. You walk along the quays along the IJsselmeer and through backstreets full of surprising details. Seductive benches, terraces and museums invite you to pause or visit. Above all, be tempted!

'Whore Hunt,' 'Three Green Acorns,' 'Between Hell and Purgatory.' Very crazy street names thought Esther Keesman (53). The Enkhuizen native delved into the history of Enkhuizen's streets and alleys, designed a walking route and convincingly won the ANWB Route Competition.
Walking routes through Enkhuizen
Wandelnetwerk Noord Holland has set out 2 beautiful routes through Enkhuizen. The Drommedaris Route (5.1 km) takes you through the old city center. During Rondje Zuiderzee (6.56 km) you walk over the city walls and along the IJsselmeer. Both routes start from the station.

Ronddwalen langs grachten en stolpboerderijen
De Boerenhoek is a special part of Enkhuizen where you can wander past canals and authentic cheese-cover farmhouses. It is located slightly outside the center, making it undiscovered and wonderfully quiet. Take a walk and admire the historic teahouses and gardens with flowers and fruit trees.
Winterwandeling met warme chocomel
Even in winter it is nice to take a walk through Enkhuizen. Especially when everything is covered with a layer of snow. Enkhuizers like to take a walk along the Vest and along the wall; that's a round trip of about 6 kilometers. After such an ice-cold walk, a hot chocolate should not be missed, of course!

A tour of the tower: the story begins in 1540 with a smaller and very different looking gate. Along the old stairs we climb up, the Drom grows and the years pass. A view of the historic orange roofs of Enkhuizen and we descend again along the new staircase and the theater that the Drom now is. Reservations can be made at info@drom.nl
