Halloween Pumpkin Craft Afternoon

Sow to Grow, the interactive museum on Westerstraat in Enkhuizen, is also organizing a series of interesting and engaging activities for visitors of all ages in the fall.

Halloween Craft Afternoon at Sow to Grow!

Come to the Sow to Grow museum in Enkhuizen for a fun and creative afternoon during the fall break! On Thursday, October 23rd, starting at 1:30 PM, Sow to Grow is hosting a special Halloween craft afternoon for children aged 8 to 12.

During this afternoon, children will learn about Halloween traditions in a fun way. They’ll also carve a pumpkin and transform it into a true work of art.

Did you know that carving pumpkins is an age-old tradition? In Ireland, people used to make lanterns from turnips and pumpkins to ward off evil spirits.

Halloween is of course known for fancy dress, candy and pumpkins!

We start by hollowing out a pumpkin and making a funny or scary face – with the help of our supervisors, of course.

Then we make witches, ghosts, spiders and spider webs, and of course there is also a scary treat.

A light inside the pumpkin completes the artwork – perfect for Halloween!

It will be an afternoon full of crafting fun, coziness and spooky creativity.
