Lighthouse De Ven
De Ven Lighthouse is a white square brick lighthouse on the IJsselmeer dike in the village of Oosterdijk, about four kilometers from Enkhuizen.
The tower was built in 1699-1700 and is one of the oldest lighthouses in the Netherlands. The tower is 15 meters high and the light height is 17 meters.
Above the entrance is a cartouche with the names of the founders. In clear weather the lighthouse is clearly visible from the Enkhuizen-Lelystad dike.
The tower is one of three lighthouses constructed to indicate the route from the Wadden Sea to Amsterdam.
