In front of the Drommedaris is a white drawbridge (national monument) that was narrowed around 1900. The drawbridge gives the ships access to the Oude Haven between the Paktuinen and the Dijk.

De Overhaal

The Overhaal in the harbor of Bovenkarspel is an important industrial monument. As early as the 17th century, barges from the polder were transferred to this harbor. This was important for the supply and trading of vegetables. After a thorough restoration, the Overhaal is now used as a barge and boat lift for recreation.

Spuihuisje

The Spuihuisje is the former lockkeeper's house, built above the passage to the Zuiderhaven on the Spui. The Spuihuisje connects the water of the Zuiderhavendijk with the IJsselmeer. The Spuihuisje contains the lifting mechanism of the lock gate to prevent the water level in the city canals from becoming too high. The Flessenscheepjesmuseum is now located in the picturesquely situated house.
