Station Enkhuizen
The monumental station building dates from 1885, the year that the Enkhuizen-Hoorn railway line was put into use. The location on the water was ideal for connecting to the Enkhuizen-Stavoren ferry and for shipping freight wagons with the steam ferry. Due to its particularly beautiful architecture, a miniature version of the station can be found in Madurodam.
