Hoedenmuseum Zet ‘m op

In this museum, Wil Gorter opens her hat collection of approximately 400 hats to the public.

In addition to hats, there are also hat pins, boxes, records, books, and magazines to view. You may try on a number of hats! You can also rent the hats for a party or theater performance. Lectures about hats and their stories are by appointment in the museum or on location. The hat museum gives lectures for groups . The number of people at a lecture is a maximum of 20 people.

Coffee, tea and soft drinks with something to eat can also be provided.

You can also determine how long it should take approximately. Normally it takes about 1.5 hours.

It tells how I came to collect hats, what a hat is for, how you will be recognized, what you can put on a hat and how to make them.

Men’s hats are also available in all types. And children’s hats, so for all ages, for boys/girls, men/women it is suitable.

Please call to make an appointment with a group. Outside opening hours is also possible and possibly in the evening if you really can’t during the day. Chairs are put down so that you don’t have to stand all the time. You can also try on hats. It is also recommended to bring a camera. When the weather is nice, there is a lovely spot outside to enjoy coffee or something else. The museum is also accessible with a wheelchair.

Maybe that is an idea for a family day, sister day, with the neighbors, art and culture, children’s party, with day care, etc.
