De Vooroever
The Vooroever is an elongated contiguous recreation and nature area of approximately 144 hectares with beach, water sports, walking and cycling opportunities. It is located along the IJsselmeer coast between Medemblik and Andijk. The area is well suited for a brisk walk along the banks of the IJsselmeer.
This 23-kilometre walk starts in Medemblik and goes along the banks of the IJsselmeer through the villages of Onderdijk, Wervershoof and Andijk. It is a varied landscape with beautiful village views and special flora and fauna. Put on your best walking shoes and go for a walk in Medemblik.
