When Urk was still an island, the ferry to Enkhuizen was the only connection to the mainland. That unique history lives on aboard the passenger ship De Zuiderzee, which has sailed this historic route since 1890 – and continues to do so!

Starting Monday, June 30th, you can once again board a unique ferry between Urk and Enkhuizen. It’s not just a practical mode of transport, but above all, an experience full of nostalgia, hospitality, and stories from the water.

What can you expect on board the Zuiderzee?

* An atmospheric boat trip on the IJsselmeer

* Option for company outings, family parties and even weddings on board!

* Cruises with buffet or barbecue

* A traditional costume show full of stories, complete with freshly fried cod (on request)

* Wheelchair accessible with lift to the outside deck and a disabled toilet
