Ooker is a versatile vocal group that likes to be heard as a whole, but also lets soloists from its own ranks shine. Various musical genres pass by, such as Ben E. King in a new guise, Stevie Wonder with Ariana Grande, folk from the Wailin’ Jennys, music with African influences and of course the roots of Ooker: spirituals. Recently, young(er) people have strengthened the ranks, which has now created a nice mix of young and slightly less young singers.

Why is it so nice to listen to Ooker?

Well, because the Ookers (that’s what they call themselves) are open, enthusiastic people who want to create an atmosphere and, with a lot of attention to the feeling and experience, play very varied music. The inspiring, passionate conductor Tanja Gardner, does not shy away from any challenge and is a strong connecting factor within Ooker and you experience that charisma. During performances, Ooker also always likes to actively involve the audience. So be warned!
