Guitar Festival

On Sunday 22 June, the twelfth edition of the Guitar Festival will take place, organised by Stichting de Gitaarsalon in collaboration with the Zuiderzee Museum. International and national guitarists will showcase their talent in ‘t Zuiderzeedorp and the Schathuys. The Guitar Festival is therefore the event for true guitar and music lovers. You can’t miss this! Book your tickets online in advance!

From classical, jazz and tango to flamenco, bluegrass and folk: the most diverse music styles are covered. During this edition you will hear, among others, the Scottish guitar virtuoso Matthew McAllister and Enno Voorhorst, grandmaster of the classical guitar from the Netherlands. Follow a ukulele workshop in the indoor museum or join a masterclass classical guitar. In the cinema, fingerstyle specialist Karlijn Langendijk and bluegrass phenomenon Bertolf Lentink and his band show their skills. Practical information

The Guitar Festival takes place in the Zuiderzee Museum in Enkhuizen. The guitarists will perform between 11:00 and 17:00 in both ‘t Zuiderzeedorp and the Schathuys. The Guitar Festival is open to all museum visitors; for the normal visitor rate you will receive the special musical guitar delicacies for free! Do reserve a time slot , even if you have a Museum Card or VriendenLoterij VIP card.
