From 23 to 27 July 2025, the Dutch Classic Yacht Week (DCYW) will take place in the historic harbour of Enkhuizen. This renewed event, which emerged from the Dutch Classic Yacht Regatta, promises a week full of maritime splendor and tradition. Under the flag of the Vereniging Klassieke Scherpe Jachten (VKSJ), the DCYW returns with a new course, with the aim of preserving the classic yacht culture.
With a focus on vintage classic yachts, the DCYW will be a visual spectacle both on the water and at the quay. The event attracts not only classic boat enthusiasts but also the general public and the press, thanks to the combination of beautiful boats and atmospheric activities.
The DCYW is more than a sailing competition. It is an event that focuses on the passion for classic yachts and friendship. With social activities, well-organized competitions and a lot of attention for the diversity of the participating yachts, it is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the maritime atmosphere. The event, organized in collaboration with Hollands Glorie and the Old Gaffers Association, expects at least 50 to 75 yachts larger than 10 meters from before 1960, including famous ships such as the Blue Bird (1910) and Piet Hein (1939).
Inspired by international events such as the British Classic Week and the Cowes Classic, the Dutch Classic Yacht Week 2025 promises to be an unforgettable experience.
