Enkhuizen is one of those towns where you can enjoy strolling along beautiful canals and atmospherically lit streets with striking names like Hemeltje and Drie Groene Eikels. Discover special stores and nice museums at your leisure, have a coffee at the Rijksmagazijn or Coffy-Huys, a glass of wine at the Drombar…
Be sure to walk over the old sea wall and stand there for a while to enjoy the panoramic view of the IJsselmeer. In the early morning, the misty lake is breathlessly beautiful; in the evening, on a clear day, you can see the lights of Friesland sparkling. Enkhuizen is pure enjoyment that feels good!

Experience enchantment in Fairy Tale Winterland
For families with (grand)children, Fairytale Wonderland is an enchantingly fun day out. In December, the entire park is transformed into Fairy Tale Winterland. The park is then illuminated with thousands of atmospheric lights and lanterns.
Zuiderzeelicht
Stroll the atmospherically lit streets of the Outdoor Museum in the evening and let presenter Kees Tol draw you into the gripping story of a wayward girl who would change Volendam forever.
Enkhuizer light days
From mid-December to early January, 't Suud, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Enkhuizen, is festively decorated and illuminated. In the afternoon at four o'clock the candles and Christmas lights are lit here.

Together at Christmas
Christmas begins in Enkhuizen on Friday, December 15 and Saturday, December 16 in the Westerkerk! Youth choir Reaching Hand and the Royal Municipal Music Corps (KSM) will come together to usher in Christmas musically.
