De Boerenhoek is a special part of Enkhuizen where you can wander past canals and authentic cheese-cover farmhouses. It is located slightly outside the center and is therefore still undiscovered and wonderfully quiet. Go for a walk and taste the atmosphere of this special part of Enkhuizen!

June 8 is National Outdoor Play Day, an initiative of Jantje Beton and Nickelodeon. Playing outside is super important, but is becoming less and less obvious. This is the afternoon we celebrate what is so important: playing outside! Will you join us? In Enkhuizen there is lots to do!

Winter walk with hot chocolate!

Even in winter it is nice to take a walk through Enkhuizen. Especially when everything is covered with a layer of snow. After such an ice-cold walk, a hot chocolate should of course not be missed.

Westfriesland is completely surrounded by the oldest dike of the Netherlands; the Westfriese Omringdijk. Within the Omringdijk there is a lot to discover. For example, go to the museum, zoo, climbing park or playground. In Westfriesland you will experience a surprising day out!
