Museumschip De Halve Maen
At the beginning of April this year, the Halve Maen was festively welcomed in the port of Enkhuizen. It is a replica of the ship originally built around 1606. In the coming months, De Halve Maen will be located in the Oude Haven aan de Dijk, near Dijk 62, and can be visited on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 17:00. Come and take a look at this special ship!
There are ships that have changed the course of history. De Halve Maen is one of them. Once upon a time, in the early 17th century, the original Halve Maen was docked in Enkhuizen to accompany the large Enkhuizer VOC ship De Bantam on its way to Sumatra. Now the beautiful replica is located in the old harbor, overlooking the Drommedaris. Let your imagination run wild when you step aboard the Halve Maen. It is without exaggeration a ship full of stories.
During a viewing you will become acquainted with the different areas of the ship. The back room, the capstan, the landing deck and the barge, where the food was prepared. Volunteers are available to provide additional information and answer questions.
Tickets are available on board for €5 per person (PIN).
